A few months ago, while I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law at their home in Palm Springs, I felt inspired to work on music (in my spare time I like to write and record songs). As I was strumming chords my brother-in-law asked me if I was writing another ‘song about a girl.’
“Um… probably?”
I was in a rut.
I’d recently watched Legend, the film by Ridley Scott, and had become obsessed with the unicorns featured in it. For whatever reason they conjured up strong feelings from me and in record time I had a song about unicorns.
Seriously.
